Create materials with Studio

Use Studio to generate courses, policies, and surveys through an artificial intelligence (AI) conversation. Describe the material you need, review the result, then save it as a draft in Materials.

Access Studio

Studio is separate from the main Enlytning platform. Admins and Owners can open it by selecting Studio in the help menu at the foot of the sidebar. You can also select + at the top of the sidebar, then Create material, choose AI Studio, and select Open full studio experience, or go straight to its web address.

Generate a material

Create a material through a Studio conversation:

Choose a material type

Studio can generate courses, policies, and surveys.

Courses

Educational content with assessments. Generated courses include:

• Modules: Logical groups of related content
• Pages: Instructional content with text, lists, callouts, and tables
• Questions: Single-choice, multiple-choice, and matching questions that test understanding

Policies

Formal documents that communicate rules and procedures. Generated policies include:

• Sections: Organised policy content
• Pages: Policy text with unambiguous language
• Signature units: Acknowledgement points where learners confirm understanding

Surveys

Feedback collection instruments. Generated surveys include:

• Questions: Single-choice, multiple-choice, rating-scale, and ranking questions
• Pages: Introductory or explanatory text between question groups

Add source files and URLs

Give Studio supporting context in either form:

• Attach JPEG, PNG, or Portable Document Format (PDF) files smaller than 25 MB each
• Include a public uniform resource locator (URL) in your prompt

When you provide a source, Studio extracts and structures its information. Use sources for these tasks:

• Convert existing PDFs or images into interactive courses
• Transform policy documents into acknowledgement workflows
• Structure existing training materials for the learning management system (LMS)

Apply Brand Kit settings

If you’ve configured a Brand Kit, Studio applies these organisation settings:

• Tone of voice
• Do and Don’t writing-style rules

These settings align generated content with your organisation’s communication standards.

Continue previous conversations

Use conversation history to continue or review previous work:

• Return to a previous conversation.
• Review content generated in an earlier session.
• Continue refining the existing material.

Review generated structure

Studio can include these structures in generated content:

• Headings and paragraphs
• Bulleted and numbered lists
• Callouts for important information (info, success, warning, error)
• Expandable details for supplementary content
• Two-column layouts for side-by-side comparisons
• Tables for structured data

Edit generated content

After you select Save to Workspace, use the material editor to change the draft:

• Modify any text or question.
• Reorder modules and units.
• Add media from your library.
• Delete unnecessary sections.
• Add new content manually.

Improve generated materials

Give Studio enough context, then review every generated detail:

• Be specific in your prompts: Include topic, audience, scope, and desired length.
• Use source material: Attach supported files or include public URLs in the prompt.
• Review before publishing: Treat AI-generated content as a draft and verify its accuracy.
• Check assessments: Ensure questions test the intended concepts and have correct answers marked.
