Domains & SSO

Configure approved email domains to allow users to discover and join your organisation automatically.

Domain configuration streamlines how new users join your organisation. Instead of requiring individual invitations for every employee, you can approve email domains to let users self-join.

Approved Domains

When you approve an email domain (e.g., yourcompany.com), anyone who signs up for Enlytning with a matching email address will see a prompt to join your organisation automatically.

How It Works

  1. A new user signs up with employee@yourcompany.com.
  2. Enlytning detects that yourcompany.com is an approved domain for your organisation.
  3. The user sees your organisation listed and can request to join or join directly.
  4. They gain access without needing a manual invitation.

This is particularly useful for:

  • Large organisations with frequent new hires
  • Companies that want frictionless onboarding
  • Reducing administrative overhead for invitations

Configuring Approved Domains

Permissions

Only Admins and Owners can manage approved domains.

Adding a Domain

  1. Navigate to Settings > Organisation.
  2. Find the Discoverability section.
  3. In the Domains field, select from detected domains or type a new one.
  4. The domain is saved automatically.

Enlytning automatically detects domains from your existing members' email addresses and offers them as suggestions.

Removing a Domain

  1. Navigate to Settings > Organisation.
  2. Find the Discoverability section.
  3. Click the × next to the domain you want to remove.
  4. The change saves immediately.

Users with that email domain will no longer see your organisation when signing up.

Security Notice

Only approve domains that are exclusively owned and controlled by your organisation. If you ever lose control of a domain, remove it immediately to prevent unauthorised access.

Domain Best Practices

Do Approve

  • Your primary company domain (company.com)
  • Subsidiary domains you control (subsidiary.company.com)
  • Regional domains you own (company.co.uk)

Don't Approve

  • Public email providers (gmail.com, outlook.com)
  • Domains you don't control
  • Partner or contractor domains (use invitations instead)

Single Sign-On (SSO)

For enterprise organisations requiring centralized authentication, Enlytning supports integration with identity providers.

Enterprise Feature

SSO configuration is available on enterprise plans. Contact our sales team to discuss your requirements.

Supported Providers

  • SAML 2.0 compatible identity providers
  • Okta
  • Azure Active Directory
  • Google Workspace

SSO Benefits

  • Centralised access control: Manage Enlytning access from your identity provider.
  • Automatic provisioning: Users are created when they first sign in via SSO.
  • Enhanced security: Leverage your existing MFA and security policies.
  • Simplified offboarding: Deactivating a user in your IdP revokes their Enlytning access.

To set up SSO for your organisation, contact our support team with your identity provider details.
