Follow regulatory news
Review regulatory updates that may affect your organisation and its published policies.
News gives Admins and Owners a feed of regulatory updates that are relevant to their organisation. Use it to understand what changed, check whether any published policies may be affected, and open related recommendations in Improve.
News is available when your organisation's plan includes News and Improve.
Review the news feed
Open News from the sidebar. Each update shows its source, publication date, severity, title, and a short summary. It also shows how many of your policies may be affected.
Select an update to see:
- When it was published and, when available, when it comes into force
- The jurisdiction, industry, and topic it covers
- A summary of the change
- Why this matters, including whether Enlytning found wording to review in your published policies
- A link to the original source
- Any affected policies
Select an affected policy to open its recommendation in Improve.
No affected policies
An update can still apply to your organisation when no policy changes are needed. Check Why this matters to see whether Enlytning found no wording to change or has not finished checking your policies yet.
Understand news statuses
News keeps older updates so you can see what happened over time.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Current | This is the latest active version of the update. |
| Superseded | A newer update replaced this one. Open it to see the notice and find the newer item in your feed. |
| Closed | The update no longer applies or has no replacement. Enlytning keeps it for your records. |
Current updates do not show a status badge. Superseded and closed updates appear muted in the feed.
Find an update
Use the search bar to find updates by their content. Use Filter to narrow the feed by:
- Source
- Severity
- Status
- Jurisdiction
- Industry
Only filters that apply to your news feed appear. To start again, clear the search and filters.
Choose your news sources
Admins and Owners can choose which available sources appear in News.
Open News and select Manage news sources, or go to Settings > News Sources.
Review the source name, type, and description. The list marks sources included for your organisation's industry.
Turn a source on to include its relevant updates, or turn it off to remove its updates from the feed.
Newly selected sources may take a little time to appear in News.
Move from news to action
When an update may affect policy wording:
Open the news update and read Why this matters.
Select an affected policy.
Review the recommendation in Improve before changing the policy.
For the full recommendation workflow, see Review policy recommendations.
