Build a learning path
Build learning paths by adding steps, selecting materials, and configuring the learner journey.
Use the Path Builder to name a learning path, select its materials, set their order, and configure conditions. Open it by selecting Create from Manage > Learning Paths.
Name the path
Start with a clear title that learners and reports can identify.
Enter a title of up to 75 characters. The title appears in Learn and reports.
Examples include:
- “New Employee Onboarding”
- “Annual Compliance Certification”
- “Sales Team Product Training”

Changes after saving
Design an effective path
Keep the path focused, order materials from foundational content to assessment, and use conditions only where scores matter.
Choose the path length
Keep each path focused on one compliance outcome:
- Start with three to five steps
- Split a longer program into shorter paths
- Keep each path focused on one compliance outcome
Order the materials
Arrange the materials from foundational content to assessment:
- Start with foundational content
- Build complexity progressively
- End with assessments or acknowledgements
Use conditions
Add a condition only when a course score should change the outcome:
- Add conditions to course steps where scores matter
- Use remedial content when learners need more context
- Reserve Fail path for defined compliance requirements
