Notifications
Configure your personal notification preferences for email and in-app alerts.
Enlytning sends notifications to keep you informed about assignments, deadlines, and activity relevant to you. You can customize which notifications you receive via email while in-app notifications remain enabled for all events.
Access your notification settings by clicking your avatar in the bottom-left corner, selecting Account Settings, then navigating to Notifications.
Notification Channels
Enlytning delivers notifications through two channels:
- In-App: Appears in your notification center (bell icon). These are always enabled and cannot be turned off.
- Email: Sent to your account email address. You can toggle these on or off for each notification type.
Personal Notifications
These notifications are relevant to all users, regardless of role.

| Assigned to me | When new material is assigned to you |
| Unassigned from me | When you're removed from an assignment |
| Assignment upcoming | Reminder before an assignment deadline |
| Deadline missed | When you miss an assignment deadline |
| New support message | When you receive a reply from support |
Content Notifications
These notifications are for users who create or collaborate on materials.
| Notification | Description |

| New version published | When a material you're assigned to is updated |
| Contributor deleted | When a collaborator removes content you contributed to |
| Contributor published | When a collaborator publishes material you contributed to |
| Collaborator added | When you're added as a collaborator on a material |
Administrative Notifications
These notifications are available to Admins and Owners.
| Notification | Description |

| User signed up | When a new user joins your organisation |
| Assignment result | When a user completes an assignment |
| Assigned deadline missed | When a user misses their assignment deadline |
Managing Your Preferences
To update your notification preferences:
- Go to Account Settings > Notifications.
- You'll see notifications grouped by category (Personal, Content, Administrative).
- Use the checkboxes to enable or disable email notifications for each type.
- Use the group checkbox in the header to toggle all notifications in a category at once.
- Changes are saved automatically.
In-App Notifications
In-app notifications are always enabled to ensure you don't miss critical updates. Use the notification center (bell icon) to view and manage your unread notifications.
