Overview

The Overview page gives you a high-level snapshot of course performance.

Assignment Status

A pie chart showing how learners are progressing:

  • Not started: Assigned but haven't begun.
  • In progress: Started but not yet completed.
  • Completed: Successfully finished the course.

The centre displays the total number of assigned learners.

Learner Activity

A line chart tracking engagement over time with two metrics:

  • Activity: Total learning events (page views, interactions).
  • Learners: Unique learners active on each day.

Toggle each metric on or off by clicking the legend buttons. Hover over the chart to see daily values.

Key Metrics

Summary cards display:

MetricDescription
Total learnersNumber of users assigned to this course.
Completion ratePercentage of assigned learners who completed.
Average durationMean time to complete the course.
Pass ratePercentage of learners who passed the assessment (if applicable).
Engagement ratePercentage of learners who started or completed (vs. not started).

Performance

The Performance page provides detailed assessment analytics.

Success Rate Distribution

A histogram showing how learner scores are distributed across percentage ranges. Helps identify whether most learners are passing comfortably or clustering around borderline scores.

Success Rate by Type

A bar chart comparing success rates across question types (multiple choice, true/false, etc.). Identifies which question formats learners find most challenging.

Performance Metrics

Summary cards display:

MetricDescription
Average scoreMean assessment score across all completions.
Question confidence indexPercentage of questions that effectively differentiate between knowledge levels. Higher values indicate better question quality.
Average attemptsMean number of attempts per learner.
Most challenging questionThe question with the lowest success rate.

Questions Tab

A table listing every assessment question with:

  • Question: The question text.
  • Type: Question format (MCQ, True/False, etc.).
  • Respondents: Number of learners who answered.
  • Correct: Percentage who answered correctly, with visual progress bar.

Sort by any column to find questions with the lowest success rates or highest response counts.

Individuals Tab

A gradebook view showing per-learner performance:

  • Name and Email: Learner identification.
  • Started: When they began the course.
  • Q1, Q2, Q3...: Score for each question (percentage).

This view helps identify learners who struggled with specific questions or patterns in question difficulty.

Exporting Data

Export insights for external analysis:

  1. Navigate to the Questions or Individuals tab.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Download the CSV file with all data.

Question exports include question text, type, respondent count, and success rate. Individual exports include learner details and per-question scores.

Using Insights to Improve Content

Low Completion Rate

If learners aren't finishing:

  • Check the activity chart for drop-off patterns.
  • Review average duration—is the course too long?
  • Consider breaking into smaller modules.

Low Assessment Scores

If learners are struggling:

  • Review the Questions tab for problem questions.
  • Check if content adequately covers tested concepts.
  • Consider rewording confusing questions.

High Question Difficulty

If specific questions have very low success rates:

  • Review the question wording for clarity.
  • Ensure the correct answer is unambiguous.
  • Add more supporting content before the assessment.

Low Engagement

If learners aren't starting:

  • Review assignment communication.
  • Check deadline settings.
  • Consider sending reminder notifications.
